Whatcha Working on Wednesday

It's so hard to believe Wednesday is here again so soon. The weeks just fly by too fast. I think this is my fourth week participating in WWW with Leslie. And I'm really enjoying it. Okay so here is what I should be working on

I'm a little embarassed to be showing you this. This is one of the nightstands in my bedroom. See all of the dust? I absolutely HATE to dust. Now that you've seen what I should be working on let's move on to what I have been working on. I got these quilt squares quite a few years ago....

I got my
big box of fabric out last week and found them. So, I decided I would make pillows out of them.

Jimmy has also been workin
g on some of the TS makeovers and I have a few to share with you.

He didn't really change the stool too much. Just sanded off the shiney and applied a new coat of stain. On the tissue holder he painted the top of it to match our bathroom. I didn't want the bottom part of it painted but I don't like it the way it is. I think I might stain it. And finally he painted and distressed the candle holder (I'm not sure what it is but it looks like it has slots that knives would fit in) to also go in our bathroom. We've got lots more to work on and hopefully I'll have some more to show you soon. And I'm off to dust my bedroom - maybe :o)

Hope you have a great evening.

Blessings,

I hate DUST! This house is so dusty all the time. I liked the basket with the red lid. I think it turned out really nice. I love your pillows so pretty!

Yuour pillows look great. I have dust too, so don't feel so bad. I really like that candleholder/knife thing. Something about the height of it makes it look cool.

Susan,
I love how your TS finds came out and your quilted pillows. I don't like to dust either and we have a woodstove so it's a steady battle. Have a wonderful evening.

The quilt squares make perfect pillows! Love them.

My bedroom is about as bad right now. I thought the new furnace would help cut back on dust but no suck luck so far! The only thing is Shane is allergic to dust so I feel incredibly guilty when I see dust and I go to town! I started the bedroom today but got distracted....

Hope you had a great day! Happy to hear that you love Whatcha Working On Wednesday :)

I love your finds! I like you do not like to dust! I use to clean houses and dusting for me was one of the things I did not like to do the most, even compared to the bathroom because there would usually be so much to move or dust around. On the lighter side of dusting my mama use to tell me "Dust is a country accent" :)

What a great idea with the quilt squares! So many gals have quilt pieces they never finish putting together.

I almost posted some pics of several Longaberger baskets that are in the midst of redoing. I sold them at one time and now I am trying to make them look older so that fit in our home better. I am only half way there so it might be another week or two before I finish so stay tuned!!

Susan,
I forgot that I wanted to comment on your comment at my blog! DUh!

Yes, Jeremy does forget his lunch and many other things, often. It's because of his ADHD....it's not as bad since he's been diagnosed and medicated but this has been my life for the last almost 11 years. I am always remembering things for him and helping him out. He's spoiled! I don't think he realizes how lucky he is to have me sometimes, well, I think he knows it, he's just not one to say it to me often. I know, though...I hear him complain about others' wives and things that go on and I know that I'm not doing what they are and he's not complaining so it's all good :)

Have a great day!

The pillows are so cute!

Your dust is not as bad as mine is. I do way more sewing than dusting and we seem to have a very dusty house!
